This site contains unpriced Highways Agency documents in the field of traffic systems and signing (tss).
The documents are prefixed with MCE, MCF, MCG, MCH, TR, TRG and TRH. These prefixes are explained in FAQ.
The four digits following the prefix are the allocated number of the document and have no significance on the contents.
The documents have a suffix A, B, C, D etc. This indicates the issue version. Only current issue versions are available on the site. For historic versions please contact the tss_plans_registry@highways.gsi.gov.uk.
There are two special suffixed (a) and (d).Documents marked "(a)" have been allocated numbers but have not yet been issued. Titles may be amended between allocation and issue.
Documents marked "(d)" are in draft form for comments only. The previous issue, if any, has been withdrawn and the draft may only be used on written instruction from the Highways Agency.
This site does not contain priced Highways Agency documents that form part of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works (MCHW). These documents are available from The Stationery Office.
